Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of OpsVerdict ("we", "us"). By using OpsVerdict, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

OpsVerdict is a self-appraisal tool: you answer structured questions about your business or codebase, and we generate a score and narrative report against a fixed rubric, optionally corroborated by objective signals from a linked repo.

OpsVerdict is not professional advice. Your results are based on self-reported answers scored against a general rubric — they are not a substitute for a licensed consultant, accountant, lawyer, or investment advisor, and shouldn't be treated as legal, financial, tax, or investment advice. Flagged results are routed toward booking a real consultant precisely because a score alone isn't the final word.

You must be at least 16 years old to use OpsVerdict. If you create a password-based account, you're responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Let us know right away at the contact below if you suspect unauthorized access.

You agree to provide accurate information — particularly your email address, since it's how we deliver your report, verification codes, and any account recovery.

You agree not to:

• →Use OpsVerdict to submit information about a business you don't have the authority to evaluate or represent.
• →Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or programmatically abuse the service outside normal use.
• →Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
• →Upload malicious files (including as a "pitch deck") or content that infringes someone else's rights.
• →Use the service to build a competing product from our rubric, question bank, or scoring methodology.

If you link a GitHub repo — by URL, pasted access token, or installing our GitHub App — you confirm that you're authorized to grant that access, whether it's your own repo or one belonging to an organization you represent. We only ever pull the structural signals described in our Privacy Policy, never your source code, and any credential you provide is used once and never stored.

You retain ownership of what you submit — your answers, business details, review, pitch, and any deck you upload. By submitting a review or opting into the sponsor showcase, you grant us a license to display that specific content for its intended purpose (public testimonials for reviews; the curated sponsor digest for showcase opt-ins) until you ask us to remove it or withdraw your opt-in.

We never include your assessment score in the sponsor showcase — only what you explicitly wrote or uploaded for that purpose.

Unlocking a full report is a one-time payment processed by Stripe. Prices are shown before you pay. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable once the full report has been unlocked and delivered, since the service is provided immediately on payment.

If you register as a sponsor (investor/advisor) to invite founders or view the curated showcase, you agree to use founder information — including anything sent in the weekly digest — only to evaluate potential engagement with that founder, not to resell, redistribute, or add it to a marketing list without separate consent from the founder.

OpsVerdict relies on third-party services (including AI providers, Stripe, Mailtrap, and GitHub) and may link to external sites (including Cal.com for booking a consultant). We aren't responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third-party sites you're taken to, and your use of them is governed by their own terms.

OpsVerdict is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We don't warrant that your score reflects an objective or complete assessment of your business — see Section 2.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenue, arising from your use of OpsVerdict, even if we've been advised of the possibility. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose, or $100 if you haven't paid us anything.

You can stop using OpsVerdict and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these Terms, misuses the service, or where required by law.

These Terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction to be confirmed], without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the effective date below when we do, and for material changes, we'll make a reasonable effort to let you know. Continuing to use OpsVerdict after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
